What is your primary product or service?
Bus Line Service to the Port Authority Bus Terminal NYC & Downtown Wall St.
We provide Charters for all occasions, for schools and camps, church organizations, family reunions, weddings etc.
Our charter and tour department offers Single & Multi-day Planned Excursions.
Feel lucky? Take Lakeland to Atlantic City, or the Sands & Mt. Airy Casinos in PA.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Our father started this company in 1952 as he was an attorney for the ICC (Interstate Commerce Commission) at the time and recognized that our area needed this type of service as NY was opening the PABT and the only option to get into the city then was the train which did not offer enough convenient door to door service as the bus could provide.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Lakeland was the first to offer this convenient service to Morris, Sussex, Essex, Union, & Warren counties and still does.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We now run within all 5 counties in NW New Jersey. Our major routes run along routes 80, 46, & 78.
No plans to expand at present.

From Rt. 80 East: Exit #35 (Dover) bear right onto Mt. Hope Ave. South passing Mall on Rt. Go approx. 1 mile to light at Rt. #46 go thru light to next light make left onto Blackwell St. Lakeland is 1/2 mi on Left.
From Rt. 80 West exit 35A (Dover) bear Rt. as above.
From 287 North to Rt. #10 west go 6 mi. to Salem St (Dover) go to end make Rt. onto Blackwell St. Lakeland 1/2 mi on left.
From 287 South exit #41B (Delaware Water Gap west) travel 8 mi.on Rt. 80 to exit 35A (Dover) bear Rt. onto Mt Hope Ave. South as above.

The Leo and Mazzarisi Families are now 2nd generation owners and we have Mr. Homeijer who is operations Manager.
