How long have you been in business?
CMP Associates has been in business since 1986, 27 years.
What is your primary product or service?
CMP Associates is a management consulting firm offering services to organizations that are for profit, nonprofit and also government entities. We are known for our analysis skills which help clients to clearly understand their improvement opportunities and the cost/benefit of addressing them. Once opportunities have been identified, we offer the custom development of solutions such as; performance appraisal/management systems, performance-based learning systems, process improvement and/or redesign, job aids and so on. We offer a workshop in Organization Mapping which is also described in a book by Carol Panza entitled, "Picture This . . . Your Function, Your Company."
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Currently President of CMP Associates, I began working in the consulting business after I finished my MBA in Industrial Relations. (My undergraduate degree is a BS in Business with a Marketing major.) I have always had a very analytical bent and enjoy working with people and their organizations to make a positive difference. I worked for 3 different consulting companies, completing a number of very successful projects, before beginning my own firm, CMP Associates, in 1986.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our analysis skills are well documented and respected by our clients, who span many industries and also countries. We work primarily on a "deliverables" basis as that allows the client to put a value on what they will receive as work products, rather than paying for hours of effort that may or may not produce the guidance, tools and other work products that they require. In this way, clients are always assured that they will receive value for their investment.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have a permanent base in Morristown, NJ but work globally, wherever the client is located..

Our work products are delivered to the client at their location, rather than having clients come to us.
What type of payments do you accept?
This is not a retail business and as such we are paid by client company check.

Our hours are flexible to accommodate the needs of the client and their operating schedule.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
The best compliment is an ongoing relationship and referrals by clients to other companies. Following is what one client wrote.
