A Free Resource Library For Family Caregivers
The mission of the center is to empower and educate family caregivers and their senior loved ones. Valuable information is available to help families understand the many aspects of the changing face of aging.
Many families are perplexed by the questions that arise as they begin to care for an aging loved one:
• How do you communicate with your parents about aging issues?
• Is a reverse mortgage a good idea for a senior?
• Should an aging parent move in with his or her adult child?
• If your spouse is developing Alzheimer’s disease, what can you do?
• Should Dad give up the keys to his car? – Take an automated test from AAA
Family caregivers often don’t know where to look for answers to these types of questions – the SENIOR SOLUTIONS CENTER, free and open to the public, has been created to help families and their loved ones learn about these issues to make the most of the senior years.
The center provides print and online information and local resouces in the following senior related categories:
• Care and Living Options
• Care for the Caregiver
• Communication
• Elder Law and Finance
• Health and Wellness
• Lifestyles
• Multi-generational living
• Coping with Alzheimer’s disease
The staff is well versed in all areas of information provided and are readily available to assist visitors with research.
